Whether your tastes run towards the best luxury family hotels in the Caribbean, or the best all inclusive family hotels in the Caribbean, or both at once!
For the beach

- Antigua’s Curtain Bluff is perfectly positioned for beach lovers, on a peninsula that faces the Caribbean on one side and the Atlantic on the other. The Atlantic side is perfect for surfers and big waves, while the calmer Caribbean beach is ideal for watesports and young families. With just 72 rooms and suites there’s a feeling of seclusion, but still great facilities, like tennis courts, a kids club, daily snorkelling excursions, and watersports paraphernalia. The food is exceptional, and you only need to get your wallet out if you want to book treatments in the spa.
- St Lucia's Windjammer is an elegant resort that rises into the jungle out of a beautiful white-sandy beach (here you get exclusive access to 64,000 square feet of the stuff). There’s lots of choice when it comes to accommodation, and a great range of family-friendly facilities as well, including a spa, gym and tennis courts, plus pizza parties, coconut bowling, dance lessons and more for the young ones. It's not hard to see why guests return year after year!
- Old Bahama Bay is a friendly, 73 room resort spaciously set along a stunning, unspoilt stretch of beach on Grand Bahama. The barbecue beach bar and seafood restaurant are worth seeking out even if you’re not staying here, and there are great facilities, with a huge range of complimentary watersports paraphernalia.
For All Inclusive Family Fun

- St. Lucia’s Coconut Bay is the kind of resort you don’t need to leave until the very last moment. It’s large enough to have separate wings for families and adults, and for each wing to have long expanses of palm-fringed waterfront and vast pools and terraces. The rooms are big too, and the range of onsite restaurants will keep your palate entertained too.
- For a stunning all inclusive private island resort, we recommend you check out Ambergris Cay in the Turks and Caicos. Country club style multi-room villas are ideal for families, and the expansive list of activities that's included in the package is hugely impressive: boat excursions, non-motorised watersports, a complimentary spa treatment for each adult, use of bikes and golf carts....to name but a few! Plus there's gourmet dining and unbridled luxury as standard. A seriously spoiling family stay.
For Kids’ Clubs

- Montego Bay’s Round Hill manages to be luxurious and romantic and family friendly, by having beautiful yet simple decor, lots of space, an idyllic private beach, and a brilliant kids club (catering to both young children and teens). Plus there’s a spa, and multiple dining options including award winning fine dining.
- Blue Waters on Antigua's north coast fits into many of our categories here: it’s right on a private beach, the majority of the huge rooms and suites have water views, there’s a choice of pools; it’s also super stylish, with great facilities and an impressive choice of places to eat and drink. The kids club, creche and dedicated children’s buffet dinner at 6pm, highlights just how well they look after families.
- The Tamarind offers the classic Caribbean resort experience right on the white, sandy beach of Paynes Bay, Barbados. There’s lots of space and colour, great facilities and easy international cuisine, plus a kids club and a teen lounge — and an adults only pool.
- Also on Barbados, the Colony Club is another classic resort with something for everyone. Set amongst seven acres of lush garden, your surrounds are elegant and idyllic, from the four-poster beds to the four lagoon-style pools. It’s large enough to have a huge range of facilities, but not large enough to lose your kids.
Luxurious Family Escapes

- Jumby Bay Island is a 300 acre private island off the coast of Antigua, with just 40 rooms, suites and villas, and as much luxury and privacy as you require. The island even has a Hawskbill turtle conservation program. What it doesn’t have is cars, but it does have golf carts.
- The Landings Resort & Spa is a collection of elegant suites and apartments arranged around a private marina, hidden away in Gros Islet, St. Lucia. Perfect if you’re looking for a home from home.
For Boutique Charms
- Set behind two sandy coves and surrounded by lush greenery, The Cove Eleuthera, offers pared back luxury that makes the most of this naturally beautiful spot. Expect carefully thought-through design with lots of white. There are 58 very private feeling contemporary rooms and bungalows, an infinity pool and an excellent Bahamian restaurant.
- Jamaica’s Half Moon Resort in Montego Bay is a luxurious, Caribbean classic — expect four-poster beds, antiques and seaside terraces complete with elegant, white pillars. Secluded and friendly, the facilities even include stables (so you and your kids can live out the horse-riding along the beach fantasy) and a Children's Village dedicated to guests aged 3-12.
For Relaxing and Recharging

- The East Winds Inn occupies 14 acres of idyllic beachfront land on St. Lucia, where, in amongst tropical gardens, you’ll find just 30 rooms, arranged in attractive cottages. There’s a pool, as well as the beach, a fitness track, yoga and pilates classes, a relaxed indoor/outdoor bar, and a restaurant with a menu that changes daily and features plenty for the kids to get excited about as well as adults.
- Sublime Samana is a chic, spacious, luxury resort right on a golden sandy beach of Samana, in the Dominican Republic. Families have a choice of staying in suites or ‘casitas’ - which are spacious villas with their own kitchens and living space.
- Sugar Mill is a small, but charmingly formed beach resort on Apple Bay, Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands. The 19 rooms are traditionally decorated, and have kitchens and private balconies; there’s also a superb restaurant and two beach bars.
For Great Value

- Copamarina Beach Resort is a classic hotel resort right on the beach in Guanica, Puerto Rico, with airy, plantation-style decor and plenty of palm trees. There’s a friendly beach bar and great Puerto Rican cuisine, so it’s low-key and relaxed and very competitively priced!
- The Hotel La Plantation is a four star hotel set a few streets back from the beach at Orient Beach on family friendly, Saint Martin. You’re a very short stroll from the sand, and the hotel has beautiful views, plus there’s lots to do in the hotel and in Orient Beach.
- With just 14 colourful rooms, the Leverick Bay Resort on Virgin Gorda is one of the smallest hotels on this list, but it’s still got a pool, tennis courts, an excellent international restaurant and mooring facilities.
- For a great value Caribbean villa holiday consider Pavilions & Pools on St Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands. This collection of 25 villas — each with their own barbecue and pool terrace — is hidden amongst tropical gardens. There’s a hotel restaurant, but you can also self cater.
