“A chic mountain lodge with epic lake views. Atmospheric rooms mix traditional charm with contemporary style; think beamed ceilings, natural materials and large glass doors leading onto private terraces. Stunning local cuisine is on offer in the traditionally dressed dining room. Perfection.”

Hotel Review

The Aldebaran Hotel & Spa is the ideal property if you've come to get the most out of what Bariloche has to offer, but don't necessarily want to stay in the town itself! Here you're about twenty minutes out, situated on a little peninsula with simply stunning views of both lake and mountains. The building is more Spanish in style than the usual chalet type designs you'll find in town, with plenty of traditional stone and wood work, plus cosy open fires and deep sofas to sink into after a day's exertions. The ten bedrooms all feature private balconies for soaking up the views and all have hardwood floors and spacious bathrooms. The suites are perfect for families, with the option to add up to two extra beds. Dining is another high point here. The menu is full of delicious Patagonian dishes and of course meats on an Argentine grill, all accompanied by excellent wines from their subterranean cellar. There is so much to do in the surrounding area; walks, beach visits in warmer months, skiing/snowboarding in winter...And after all that exercise there's a friendly bar to return to or the spa with relaxation area, sauna and indoor/outdoor pool. Staff are friendly and helpful and will point you in the right direction whether you're planning a walk or want to book a day on horse back with a local gaucho. A fantastic stay and the perfect base for exploring Bariloche.
