Located in Thiseio, Athens’s pulsing heart, the Asomaton Hotel is a striking blend of neoclassical architecture and contemporary industrial aesthetics. Originally built in the early 1900s from wood and stone, the building first served as a carriage wheel repair shop before being meticulously restored. Asomaton meaning ‘without a body’, this is reflected in its open and light/airy design. There are 19 elegantly designed rooms, each showcasing a mix of raw materials and modern comforts. Art enthusiasts will appreciate the hotel’s curated collection including works by Greek artist Philip Tsiaras. Its unique feature is the indoor plunge pool, located in the reception area, offering a tranquil escape from the city bustle. Guests can start their day with a gourmet breakfast on the rooftop terrace, boasting one of the best Acropolis vistas in the city.
