“A charming country house hotel on the picturesque banks of Lough Corrib. Retaining it's traditional feel, the rooms are decorated with period wallpapers and antique furnishings. Perfect for a peaceful countryside escape. A lakeside idyll.”

Hotel review

Unlike many of Ireland's current country guesthouse's, Currarevagh House has a hospitality heritage. Reputedly the oldest guesthouse in Ireland, it has been run by five generations of the Hodgson family. Hidden away on the shore of Lough Corrib, it takes advantage of it's picturesque setting. With an informal and familial atmosphere, it's a place where guests will always feel welcome to fully relax. The rooms have retained their traditional charm, with their old fashioned style they resonate a homely feel. Guests can enjoy a home-cooked three course meals in the atmospheric dining room, that incorporate foraged products such as wild sorrel and chanterelles. Try your luck at reeling in one of Lough Corrib's native brown trout. The hospitality of Henry and Lucy Hodgson shines throughout and guests are received like friends rather than visitors. Traditional Irish hospitality at its finest.
