This fort-cum-palace is truly special in so many ways. The rooms are spread randomly around the palace and are set in a traditional style, making for a wonderfully homely experience. Since the Deogarh Mahal is family owned you could be staying in the room that one of the hosts grew up in, which adds a deeply personal touch. Guests can take a ride in one of the vintage cars of the family's, as well as a train through the gorgeous countryside at sunset. The perfect getaway to feel like one of the locals.
