Derby Arms

This creeper-clad 16th-century coach house on the edge of the ancient Forest of Bowland, offers outstanding value. Which is only right, as it has a long history of affordable hospitality: in 1523, it would have cost you 4s and 4d to stay on the estate, in the Earl of Derby’s manor house – and that was the price for a year.
