“A stalwart of the London five star hotel scene in a prime Mayfair location. Sleek rooms and suites are decorated in muted neutral shades which ooze luxury and class. The best have private terraces and park views. Michelin star dining and a spoiling spa seal the deal. Perfect for business or leisure.”

Hotel Review

For a London luxury stalwart that has been around for decades, the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane continutes to deliver its high levels of five star service and will not disappoint any traveller to this capital city looking for a sophisticated and central base. As you’d expect from a property of this calibre the staff present an unflappable face to their guests and are on hand to satisfy any whim (however large or small). The rooms may not be challenging in terms of their design, however they offer opulence and thoughtful touches at every turn — think extremely high quality bed linens, super comfortable beds and marble en suites with walk in monsoon showers (some with bath tub too) and gorgeous Floris toiletries. But it’s the little attention to detail in the turn down that makes the difference too — little leather clips to keep your charging cables in order, screen wipes for your laptop and phone, beautifully folded clothes…All rooms are similar in design, but the best ones offer superb views of Hyde Park, and some even boast a spacious outdoor terrace — a real treat for this city location. The lobby is as impressive as you’d expect with its stunning floral arrangements and moody hues (plenty of sultry blacks and reds), yet moving through to the Pavyllon lounge there’s a different more relaxed vibe oozing from fresh, bright modern interiors where turquoise, duck egg, cream and white sit side-by-side and are complemented by stunning lamps and floral design. However the Four Seasons doesn’t only excel in the accommodation department, the dining here is pretty special too. Pavyllon is a destination restaurant, which earnt a Michelin star after only 6 months, and it’s not hard to see why. Chef Yannick Alleno delivers course after course of fabulous modern French cuisine, all executed to perfection. The setting is pretty good too, a relaxed space with low tables and a thoroughly modern sophisticated design. Bar Antoine is where to go if you’re craving either a pre-or post-dinner tipple — there’s also a fun outdoor terrace space inspired by a South of France style champagne bar. For the final icing on the cake you need to head up to the 10th floor for the seriously spoiling spa. The treatments range from your usual facials and massages to weekly sound bath healing sessions, all carried out in relaxing treatment rooms from whose floor-to-ceiling windows you can enjoy epic city views. There’s also a state-of-the-art gym, salt-wall sauna, eucalyptus steam room and vitality pool. The Four Seasons is a name which one immediately associates with high-end luxury and superb hospitality standards and this original is a stunning example of a brand name that knows it has to move with the times, but manages to deliver on all levels. It’s as modern and fresh as they come and should be a go-to hotel for anyone wanting a top-of-the-range stay right in the centre of town, whether in London for business or pleasure.
