“Overlooking the beautiful Fowey Estuary, South Cornwall, Fowey Hall is a family-centric yet stylish hotel where kids are treated like VIPs and adults can enjoy some relaxation. Rooms feel fresh and contemporary and there's a spoiling spa with a large indoor pool and an excellent Cornish restaurant”

Hotel review

Arguably one of the most child-friendly luxury hotels in existence, Fowey (pronounced ‘foy’ to rhyme with ‘joy’ - and this hotel is exactly that) Hall makes for an unforgettable family escape overlooking the breathtaking Fowey Estuary in Cornwall. There’s so much to keep kids entertained here that it would be easy to never leave. From the numerous games rooms, cinema room and indoor and outdoor heated pools, to all-day activities like bunny feeding and mocktail-making, a playground and Ofsted-registered ‘Four Bears Den’ Kids’ Club for children aged three months to eight (included with every stay is 90 minutes of complimentary childcare a day; giving adults the chance to escape to the small spa for a treatment or relax with a cocktail in one of the lovely lounge spaces). NB this spa also offers treatments for children under the Little ishga programme

Part of the Luxury Family Hotels group, Fowey Hall is 100% designed for families. This means zero judgement from other guests or staff if your child has a tantrum in the family dining room, which serves up delicious seasonal dishes from local suppliers. That said, there is a candle-lit dining room for adults looking for some peace.

Despite its obvious appeal to children, the public spaces feel sophisticated and inviting to adults. Guests rooms are spacious, spotless and unsurprisingly go above and beyond to make kids feel like VIPs. Think separate rooms with bunk beds, free buckets and spades for the beach, Yoto players for bedtime stories and even a playroom with children’s books and a TV can be found in some suites!

A special mention to the staff who are brilliant with the kids and go out of their way to make sure that the adults relax too.

If you do leave what is very much a destination itself, you can wander the winding streets of quaint Fowey, exploring its cute shops, excellent restaurants and pretty Readymoney Cove. There are also iconic attractions such as the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan a short drive away.
