“A throwback to colonial times with accents of Chinese decor this hotel is a wonderful blend of old and new. Similarly there are eastern and western dining options. Spacious rooms with cream palettes and highlights of gold and red. Two pools are located within six hectares of luscious grounds. ”

Hotel review

Since its completion in 1900, Goodwood Park Hotel (or Teutonia Club as it was then known) has welcomed an international crowd. Taken over in 1929 by the Manasseh brothers, as with many colonial hotels in Singapore, their histories are entwined. The interior is a more modern affair, although still classic. Rooms enjoy views of six hectares of grounds and are decorated in cream and caramel palettes with accent colours. All include tea and coffee making facilities, writing desks and some feature private balconies. The Parklane Split Level Suite in particular provides those here on business with a stylish home away from home: spacious living accommodation, parquet flooring throughout, statement artworks, a study area and a fully functioning kitchen. However with the excellent dining options you might want to forego home cooking! Gordon Grill in particular has earned itself critical acclaim for its continental cuisine whilst afternoon tea at L’Espresso is a feast for the eyes and stomach, as is an evening tipple at Min Jiang at One-North. There are two pools, a well equipped fitness centre, spa and beauty salon. A classic hotel.
