“Comfortable, warm, reliable hotel; well practised in giving skiers what they want and need from their holiday accommodation. ”

Hotel review

The Post possibly considers itself one of the Grande Dames of St Anton hotels as it has been there forever but the reality is more friendly old wifey. Comfortable, dependable, old-fashioned and unswanky, its homely rooms have a frugal 80s vibe with yellow pine and spotty carpets both prominent design features. Bathrooms are also reminiscent of that era. (Sing Duran Duran songs in the shower.) Food is unstuffy and traditional, with a generous varied breakfast buffet ideal for fortifying skiers until lunchtime. Minutes from the lifts in the village centre, this is an unselfconscious hotel which will allow you to concentrate on enjoying your company and the location. Good for groups as there are plenty of places to sit for a drink and a chat – or a nice game of canasta at one of the card tables. Apres ski in the Piccadilly bar.
