Nestled in the heart of the quintessential Swiss resort of Grindelwald and surrounded by the wistful mountain peaks of the Bernese Alps - including the world famous Eiger - is the Hotel Spinne. This family-run hotel has a rustic feel: enjoy a drink in the cosy lounge area in front of a crackling log fire, dine on hearty European fare in the traditional dining room and relax in one of the comfortable well-appointed bedrooms - many with those spectacular Eiger views. But the star of the show at the Hotel Spinne is the spa facilities - take in the grandeur of the Alpine scenery from the heated outdoor infinity pool, kick back on a lounger in the sun room, or ease sore muscles in the wellness area: featuring a large whirlpool, two saunas - a traditional Finnish sauna, as well as an Alpine herb sauna - a steam room, an ice ‘Kneipp’ room, and multi-sensory showers with an option of ice mist, mountain and glacier rain, it’s the ideal place to feel rejuvenated and refreshed. A warning, however, to the modest: the saunas and steam room follow the continental approach.
