Hotel review

Traditional woodwork and stonework (including two stone fireplaces and an old-style bread oven) are the keynotes of this woodland hideaway, surrounded by lawns and pine trees. But there’s nothing old-fashioned about the kitchen – where owner-chef Kamer Mumcuogullari has installed the latest kit to produce great Turkish-Mediterranean-fusion dishes – or the bedrooms, which have whirlpool baths, hand-woven curtains and a mix of antique and modern furnishings. There’s a medium-sized pool in the gardens, along with terrace tables beneath white canvas umbrellas. You may not want to leave, even to explore nearby sights, but if you do, Dalyan’s fantastic beach is only a short drive away and Kamer will help you organize transport as well as boat trips on the glorious Dalyan delta.
