Although we don’t usually include chain hotels in our selection, this one is worth mentioning. It’s great that after the grey hotel scene in the capital city there is now a hotel of high standard, in other words luxurious, colourful, bit classy and at the same time nice and pleasant - not only for its ideal location in the town centre but also as one would expect everything from service to food is really upmarket. Meals at the restaurant are made of organic products and for every dish on the menu there is wine advice. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The only downsize is a slight lack of cosiness that you would get at a small family run B&Bs but other superior details such as fluffy towels in the spotless bathroom make up for it.

"Imposing and immense, Grand Hotel River Park capitalises on the Slovak Capital’s photogenic position on the Danube to showcase Europe’s grandest waterway like no other hotel in Bratislava can."
