“Adhering to the philosophical ideas of Wabi-Sabi, this hotel delights in simplicity. Earthy tones and clean lines define its design-driven aesthetic, but there’s nothing understated about the sensational crimson sunsets that light up the sky. Sink into the pool-side sofas and let the world pass by.”

Hotel Review
If the Cambodian coastal province of Kep is known to insiders as the country’s ‘best kep secret’ then Knai Bang Chatt is its crowning jewel. Housed in several modernist structures on the seafront, the hotel is a design lover’s dream: simple, understated and high on aesthetic impact. A woven bamboo structure encases the hotel’s outer wall, leading to a sea-foam green reception nook decorated with a shelf of ceramics. This laid-back vibe continues throughout the resort, from weathered driftwood tables to traditional Cambodian beds originally built to sleep an entire family. Most guests can be found lounging around the sea-view swimming pool, but adventurous patrons have stand-up paddleboards, catamarans and bicycles to choose from, in addition to complimentary yoga classes and nature walks that can be booked daily. Hungry? The lively Sailing Club serves casual snacks and sundowners while The Strand restaurant capitalizes on its proximity to the seaside with an unmissable Khmer amok curry.
