Hotel review

A welcome addition to Tokyo's eastern district of Oshiage. Designed by the illustrious Kengo Kuma, he has worked with his signature materials of raw wood and concrete- add to this metal fixtures, reams of white fabric and a flare of style in tying these stark materials together to somehow create a sense of warmth and luxury. The studios are small but undoubtably cool, think metal sinks and plywood walls. The luxury suites offer more space as well as views from giant floor to ceiling windows. The real crowd pleaser is the rooftop bar offering comfortable seats from which to gawp at Tokyo Skytree, just five minutes own the road. The staff are faultless in their manners and service- we would 100% recommend!
