“A reminder of a bygone colonial era. A newly renovated country estate in the heart of the Northern Zambia. Set in a 10,000 hectare game ranch, rich in wildlife and steeped in history. The separate villa has four spacious rooms - perfect for a group or a family. A truly unique spot.”

Hotel review

This remarkable house and estate of Sir Stewart Gore-Brown, located at the heart of Northern Zambia has recently been brought back from the brink of collapse by his great grandson. Today Africa House overlooking Shiwa Ngandu (Lake of the Royal Crocodiles) is a reminder of the grandeur and splendour of a bygone colonial era. The Estate boasts a 10,000 hectare game ranch rich in wildlife. A stay here might also involve meeting the people on the estate, visiting schools and other ongoing projects. Seemingly out of place in such a raw country, 'Africa House' is unique.
