Hotel Review
Having lived in London, France and India, owner Hedda Leonardi imbues her eclectic taste into every space of The Bel Air Tree House. Taking a very different approach to hospitality, she champions the "luxury redefined" cause. Focusing on wellness rather than indulgence. Light filled, airy spaces create a feeling of utter serenity; a world away from Tinseltown.
From the moment you enter (shoes off at the door, please), you feel right at home. Four suites are uniquely decorated with trinkets and curios from around the world. The Amethyst Suite boasts its own private terrace, as well as an aeriel yoga swing(!), whilst you can soak in your own roll-top bath in The Butterfly Suite. Conscious Dr Bronner's toiletries are placed in bathrooms, along with towelling robes, hairdryers, bath salts and candles. In room extras include coffee machines and a selection of herbal teas. Everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Breakfast is one of the specialities. Hedda herself is vegan, and she uses food as an opportunity to communicate a message with her guests, without imposing her beliefs. Biodynamic coffee is served with a selection of pastries and biodynamic fresh juices. An utterly unique stay, The Bel AIr Treehouse may not be for everyone, but for travellers looking for something different it is a spiritual awakening in a place filled with pseudo-spirituality. It may just be a life changing stay!
