“A comfortable hotel for a traditional British seaside break; good for all ages. Perfect for pottering in Aldeburgh – in summer guests will appreciate the hotel’s position at the quieter end of town – or exploring further afield from Snape Maltings to Orford.”

Hotel review

Set right on the seafront in the attractive town of Aldeburgh, The Brudenell hits the spot if you’re after a comfortable hotel by the sea. Whites, blues and stripes give the hotel a nautical feel, as do the boaty wallpapers and local photography. While the views from many of the seafront bedrooms are hard to beat, the Aldeburgh rooms – which overlook the streets and beyond to the river and marshes – have their own attraction. The brasserie-style ‘Seafood & Grill’ restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and the varied menu includes locally caught fish. The bar prides itself on its coastal gins, which can be enjoyed on the hotel’s large terrace with its jaunty awnings and blue and white chairs. The comfortable lounge has an all-day menu with everything from fish and chips to toasted teacakes.
