“Overlooking snow-capped mountains and Thiksey monastery, The Chamba Camp's tents are superlative. With four poster beds, power showers, bespoke writing desks & private verandahs this is 'glamping' to the nth degree. The food is astounding: haute cuisine in high places. Operational June - September. ”

Hotel Review
A pioneering property to say the least The Chamba Camp, Thiksey is the brainchild of The Ultimate Travelling Camp, purveyors of nomadic luxury around India. Operational between May - October it runs in keeping with the changing seasons of Ladakh. Tents are reminiscent of the days of the Raj. Dark wood four posters are complemented with ornately embroidered headboards, chandeliers, inner and outer seating areas as well as luxurious bathrooms. Wake up and gaze upon the mesmerising Thiksey monastery, on whose land the camp is based and takes its name. The restaurant is a tour de force, with gourmet dishes being served up despite its remote location and an organic kitchen garden. And the pastry chef's delicious offerings will have you reaching for your hiking boots!
