Located in Sentier, the formerly industrial second arrondissement, The Hoxton Paris is set in an 18th century residence, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and only 2km from The Louvre. Assembled around two light and spacious courtyards, the hotel’s focus is on the lounge area, which is dotted with elegant velvet furniture, and flanked by two fully restored, 300-year old spiral staircases on either side. Rooms are stylish with a retro feel, ranging from Shoebox to Cosy, Roomy and Biggy. Features include high ceilings, chevron wood floors, colourful accent walls, leather headboards, and heavy curtains. Some rooms face into the courtyard, while upgraded rooms come with a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. All have tile en suite bathrooms, writing desks, free Wi-Fi, flat-screens and minibars. There's an haute cocktail lounge, and an airy restaurant named Rivié, a destination in itself, offering French food. Breakfast comes in a bag, a Continental collection swinging from your door handle. Most suited to solo travellers and hip couples, those traveling with young children can request cots and fold-out beds.
