“Stunning views, luxury features in the heart of Aspen - a winter and summer nature haven. Large modern rooms, notably comfortable with fireplace and mountain or city views. Element 47 offers farm fresh Italian cuisine with a fine wine list. Relax at the spa, by the pool or explore the mountains.”

Hotel review

There are endless reasons for serious powder hounds and fairweather beginners to stay at The Little Nell, Aspen’s only five star ski-in, ski-out hotel. Here is the region’s only ski-in, ski-out spa, too, newly renovated and the absolute last word in luxury. Continuing this theme is the private boot room, with heated boot racks, and free coffee and cookies to welcome you in from a blizzard. Stays here put you at the foot of the Silver Queen gondola, a brilliantly easy start to an epic day on the hill. At teatime, you’ll retire to an impeccably comfortable room or Junior Suite, each with gas log fireplaces, and most with private balconies and deep baths. All options have views of the mountains, or the hotel’s fabulous heated outdoor pool and hot tub area. If you've got energy left, the Fitness Center is stuffed with state-of-the-art equipment, but really, a stay here is about relaxing. This extends to your pets, too. A stellar concierge team spares no effort to take care of dogs of all sizes: beds are provided, and a (very) special pet menu includes smoked salmon and Wagyu beef. Humans can enjoy two restaurants and three bars, plus 24-hour room service. Element 47 just received a Michelin nod (don’t miss the house-made preserves), and the on-site wine collection warrants a stay in itself, with its collection of over 20,000 bottles from the world’s best vineyards. Head down to the cosy Wine Bar, where a DJ spins vinyl records on Thursdays, and make your way through the wine programme that’s won the Wine Spectator Grand Award consecutively for 27 years, not to mention the World of Fine Wine’s “Best Hotel Wine List in the World” in 2023, and “Best Champagne & Sparkling Wine List” in 2024. You’ll want for nothing at this exceptional spot.

The Little Nell

This Relais & Chateaux property situated at the base of Aspen Mountain is the resort town’s only five-star, five-diamond hotel. Over-the-top service is a hallmark here, as is the prestigious wine program, which has graduated more Master Sommeliers than any other North American establishment
