Boasting a glorious setting across 70 acres of Staffordshire countryside, Tawny Hotel certainly has the wow factor. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway but caters well to groups and families too. The accommodation is dotted across the breathtaking grounds where wildlife is abundant (birds appear to sing louder here, understandably, and it’s a beautiful sound); with options like Treehouses, Boathouses and Shepherd’s Huts nestled around a series of serene lakes. The interiors of the accommodation are chic and modern, with various features doing a wonderful job of immersing guests in the surrounding nature; floor-to-ceiling windows and roll top baths offering gorgeous lake views, big outdoor tin hot tubs and outdoor showers. Other highlights of the hotel include the heated outdoor pool, the cute little cottage where you can indulge in a GAIA spa treatment and The Plumicorn restaurant with its dreamy vista over the estate and delicious, fine-dining cuisine. Finally, the staff deserve a special mention as the entire team is friendly and warm.

The grounds of The Tawny have shimmering lakes, wild woodland and forgotten follies overgrown with flora. Even better – rooms are spread around in boathouses, treehouses, shepherd’s huts and more, so you can wake up to the superlative views. Outdoor tubs add to the appeal.
