Velona's Jungle luxury suites have evolved over a period of time. The current owner's grandfather began a quirky collection of objets d'art on his travels in the 1950s and this has been complemented with funky designer pieces and statement animal themed accessories and art. The ten suites are truly original - you won't find anything else like this in Florence. And for those who like their accommodation to be luxurious, but not follow the crowd, Velona's Jungle will be perfect! Alongside the stunning designs you'll find luxury as standard with fine bed linen, rainshowers (some with chromotherapy lights) and complimentary toileteries. Breakfast is typically Italian with pastries and organic jams, eggs, cheese and beans (plus a full selection for vegans and those on gluten free diets), and if you want to take it easy, it's available till noon. The location is perfect if you want to explore the city then retreat to the calm and elegance of a smart residential neighbourhood - it's right opposite the historic Teatro dell'Opera and just a fifteen minute amble from the Ponte Vecchio. And if you're looking for some insider info, the owner will let you know about all her favourite restaurants and the best boutique shopping. A great option for a romantic bolthole (it's adults only!) yet close to all of Florence's best bits.
