The Best Hotels in Shiodome, Tokyo
Close to the famous Tsukiji Fish Markets, and to Tokyo Station, Shiodome is a close-knit, modern collection of skyscrapers, sitting shiny atop reclaimed marshlands overlooking the bay. There are offices in the skyscrapers, but there are also shops, restaurants, theatres, and some of the best hotels in Shiodome.
This is a convenient spot to be based in, close to the Hamarikyo gardens and to Ginza. Originally it separated the Imperial Palace from the bay, but during the Edo period feudal lords thought it clever to drain the marshes and build their homes there - close to the royal family. Today the district is a bastion of modernity with separate zones for motorised and pedestrian traffic, and a collection of elevated walkways and underground paths connecting the majority of Shiodome’s buildings.

The Best Hotel Views in Shiodome
The Prince Park Tower occupies a great position, surrounded by a beautifully kept garden in the very heart of Tokyo. The hotel’s 603 rooms are stacked quite high and feature floor-to-ceiling windows with incredible views. Rooms also have hard wood floors and modern art. A hotel this size is going to have good facilities but the Prince Park Tower has a bowling alley as well as an almost impractical number of restaurants!
The Best Luxury Hotels in Shiodome
Known for contemporary luxury and Michelin starred restaurant, the Conrad Tokyo has 290 rooms - famously with freestanding bathtubs overlooking the Tokyo skyline. The service is superb, as is the spa.
