“A tranquil boutique base for Sigiriya Rock explorations. Reminiscent of the island's old rest houses, classic red-tiled rooms feature wood-and-cane furniture and an elegant cream palette. Ideal for couples, friends and families eager to appreciate great Sri Lankan fare and heritage style. ”

Hotel review

Channelling the old-school charm of Sri Lanka's classic rest houses, EKHO Sigiriya offers 20 lovely rooms, each with red-tiled floors, antique-style furnishings and cosy beds topped with crisp white linens. Terracotta-roofed buildings sit surrounded by leafy gardens and rooms share access to a long, shaded terrace, perfect for an evening beer as the butterflies flit between the trees. Tuck in to flavoursome Sri Lankan curries or Western dishes - though we think the Sri Lankan food is particularly good - after big days out.

Aside from its tranquil, low-key vibe, the hotel's other big draw is its rare proximity to Sigiriya Rock. One of the island's legendary landmarks, Sigiriya is just a 700-metre stroll or cycle away. Don't miss clambering up nearby Pidurangala Rock, a far less well-known favourite spot of ours, whilst you're in the area!
