Occupying the top 29 floors of a glittering 60-storey skyscraper, the Jingan Shangri La rises up out of the shopping mecca that is the Kerry Centre to offer some of the finest views in Shanghai (pollution permitting, of course) via each room’s floor-to-ceiling-length windows. Its central location on West Nanjing Road also positions it as a perfect base to explore the endless designer stores of Jingan district, sights such as the Jingan and Jade Buddha temples, and the bar and restaurant-filled Former French Concession. Guest rooms are contemporary, comfortable and classic, applying traditional Chinese touches to familiar Western luxury hospitality.
