This newly constructed property (finished in 2011) is very much an undiscovered delight. Dushka, the owner, has poured her heart and soul into this project and has delivered a sophisticated treat with jawdropping views, away from the ususal tourist haunts of Istria. Individually themed and decorated bedrooms are spacious, light and airy, with seriously comfy beds and private balconies for soaking up the view. But the piece de resistance has to be the infinity pool and terrace. Perfect for idling away the hours with a glass of something chilled and a good book. The restaurant is pretty good too; they specialise in traditional Istrian cuisine and the seafood is sublime. Make sure you pair the food with some of the local (and delicious wines). As if all that weren't enough, there's a spa with sauna, hot tub and treatment rooms. For those of a more active bent, the property is surrounded by hiking and biking trails. All in all Villa Stefanija is perfect for a special summer break away from the crowds.
