“Experience a cosmopolitan blend of cultures at this Parisian bolt-hole by the Gare du Nord. Asian and African design accents proliferate the colourful guestrooms, with bold prints and eclectic furnishings. Larger rooms have luxury clawfoot baths. Head to Sape Bar for chic drinks; a smart stay. ”

Hotel review

For a bright and beautiful boutique stay in the hip and happening, multicultural 10th (you’re a one-minute walk to Gare du Nord opposite, and the Eurostar) – book 25hours Hotel Terminus Nord. Created by the famed hotel brand Ennismore, the hotel offers a perfectly pampering Parisian stay with excellent food.

The hotel’s dazzling pop-art design is attention-holding and a nod to the arrondissement's influences, it’s colourful and avant-garde: on entering it feels like an art gallery with impressive works of art draping the walls, but also, amiable staff with superb local recommendations and African designer Boutique Gabriela selling clutch bags and accessories in the lobby.

There are a whopping 235 mod-luxe rooms – adorned from head-to-toe in exotic art and design. Book a Medium+ or Large+ room – they come with a brilliant balcony overlooking the streets of Paris; an Extra Large+ includes a standalone bathtub. Pretty African print furnishings aside, there’s in-room art and ornaments, herbaceous lotions and potions, and gorgeous rainfall showers.

The morning breakfast buffet in NENI, the chic restaurant is excellent – there’s a prolific daily spread. This includes freshly baked croissants, pain au chocolates, baguettes, charcuterie, cheeses, jams, and juices. At dinnertime, NENI dishes up tasty pulled beef, creamy hummus, soft pittas, and baba ganoush – staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
