A small nondescript entrance on a small Athens side street off lively Monastiraki Square, this 35 room hotel offers clean, simple, well appointed rooms and family sized apartments - some directly facing the Acropolis. It’s contemporary and laid back in a happening central location where it’s easy to get around (the Metro is a minute’s walk and there’s a taxi rank right opposite the hotel.) The real appeal however is the 6th floor rooftop restaurant and bar which comes alive at night as hip young Athenians pour in to congregate over cocktails, overlooking the hubbub of the street life below with fabulous views in all directions including various imposing buildings. The atmosphere is buzzing, with people chatting to a backdrop of ambient sounds. Mediterranean-style food is on offer (salads, pasta etc). The outdoor terrace then transforms overnight into a delightful, almost peaceful place for guests to have continental buffet style breakfast served on pretty coloured china.

"This hotel is centrally located in the Greek capital, above scenic and bustling Monastiraki Square, and a favourite among locals for its rooftop bar with staggering views of the Acropolis."

Overlooking the square at Monastiraki, this boutique hotel could hardly be more central. Its rooftop bar can get rather crammed, but the intermediate floors with good-sized, sparely elegant bedrooms are calm enough. Book early and ask for a view of the Acropolis.
