Undoubtedly the best hotel in Mui Ne, a chic spot in the kite surfing capital of South-East Asia.. Kite surfing, dune surfing, windsurfing, you name it, all are on offer at Anantara Mui Ne, and it’s hard not to be persuaded to join the sea of colourful kites. If that sounds too much like hard work perhaps an indulgent spa treatment using home made coconut oil, or a spot of sunbathing between lofty palms and lotus ponds is more suitable? Either way, impeccable service ensures comfort at all times. Hotel rooms are spacious and practically designed, either set within lush greenery with sea views or in the main building that looks across the garden and a giant koi fish pond. Certain villas offer the added luxury of a private pool and dining pavilion. The resort’s infinity pool is particularly inviting and contains a bar dishing out yummy snacks and cocktails to guests for whom leaving the water is far too much effort. The L’Anmien Restaurant too produces delicious freshly caught seafood dishes.

Why do people love staying in your hotel? Commanding the most pristine length of Mui Ne’s beach, the award-winning Anantara Mui Ne Resort boasts an array of restaurants and bars and is a gateway to the region’s natural and cultural attractions including its red sand dunes. Guests love soaking up the stunning vista of pristine golden sands and cobalt blue waters from the resort’s capacious pool, swim-up Flow Bar, beachside Thung Restaurant or deck. You can also unwind and relish quiet wellness at Anantara Spa by indulging a selection of rejuvenating massages, scrubs, wraps and facials using indigenous ingredients. What is there to do in the area? Mui Ne is a Southeast Asian mecca for kiteboarding and windsurfing, due to excellent conditions resulting from consistent cross onshore winds and low rainfall. Dive in and join the many watersports enthusiasts dotting the ocean surface. Sliding down the sand dunes stretching to the horizon in white, red and gold, marvelling at the riot of colour created by the eclectic mix of fishing boats moored just off Mui Ne village’s coast, and walking through the whimsically-named Fairy Stream flanked by pitted rock formations redolent of a mini Grand Canyon in parts are just some of the many things you can do in the area. The picturesque Sea Links Golf and Country Club, the area’s only golf course situated just two kilometres from Anantara Mui Ne, slopes down to the bay. Set 80 metres above sea level, the 18-hole 72 par course is described as one of the most challenging links-style golf courses in all of Asia. What kind of breakfast do you offer? Anantara Mui Ne Resort offers a delectable buffet breakfast of Western and Asian dishes at L’Anmien Restaurant, overlooking our lush, landscaped gardens and lagoon and, in turn, the ocean. There are many live cooking stations featuring eggs, pancakes, waffles, Southeast Asian and Indian fare. We have daily, freshly squeezed detox juices, including dragon fruit juice, apple, beetroot and carrot juice, and papaya, morning glory, watermelon and mint juice help you start your day on a healthy note. Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Across our various restaurants and bars, we offer an exciting diversity of dishes and beverages. L’Anmien’s Menu highlights include: - Grilled Land and Sea Platter – Enjoy our fresh seafood offerings and the best meat cuts on a platter followed by local dessert. - Vietnamese Set Menu – Enjoy a set menu that captures the tastes of Vietnam’s popular delicacies. - Tastes of India Set Menu – Take a culinary journey across India. Enjoy an enticing variety of curries, fabulous appetizers and desserts. Complimentary Sparkling Wine Tasting and choose your wine for the evening. - “Phan Thiet” Hot Pot – Simmer seafood and meat along with vegetables and fresh herbs in a Vietnamese broth, best shared with family and friends. Dine along the shores at “Thung”, our poolside restaurant. The menu includes fresh catches from the surrounding waters of Mui Ne and premium flame-grilled steaks. Thung’s menu highlights include: - Crab and Prawn Vermicelli in a Coconut Bowl - Mediterranean Style Grilled Tiger Prawns Platter - Grilled Spring Chicken and Greek Garden Our Flow Bar hosts various cocktail themes. Our Wine Room boasts an enviable selection of international wines and champagnes selected by our resident ‘Wine Guru’, and our Cham Lounge offering cocktails and snacks. We also invite guests to savour a truly unique dining experience on our sandy beach with our ‘Dining By Design’ concept. As the sun sets, guests can enjoy the ultimate romantic setting with a specially devised menu prepared by a personal chef and served at a table for two in dreamy locations, anywhere of the guests’ choosing. Which are your most popular room types, and why? All of our room categories are popular. However, our pool villas are particularly sought after as they include their own private pools. What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms? The children (and those young at heart) will be entertained for hours thanks to the resort’s Children’s Club. Feed the fish at the resort’s tranquil, water lily-laden pond, ride a round boat, make grasshopper origami, carve fruit and more. Anantara Mui Ne has numerous accommodation options suitable for families including its Two Bedroom Family Pool Villa. We can organize for an extra bed to be implemented in a room or suite upon request. What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? The little touches, the attention to detail, make Anantara Mui Ne special. For example, no idyllic beach setting is truly complete without coconuts and at Anantara Mui Ne, guests can literally drink fresh coconut juice from a coconut tree on the resort grounds. Designed to help skin fight the ravages of age, homemade coconut oil is made in the morning on a weekly basis at the resort’s L’Anmien Restaurant and available at the spa along with homemade coffee body scrub.
