In the heart of Marlborough wine country sits Antares Homestay. There are three striking octagonal modules set in four acres of landscaped gardens and freshwater ponds with a short woodland walk. With modern self-contained accommodation choices, one of which - The Loft - has two bedrooms, a kitchen and living area. Eooms have direct access to the outdoor hot tub and pool, and pretty views across the herb and lemon trees growing in the garden. Anglers and bird watchers will love the Homestay’s close proximity to the Wairau River, a breeding ground for trout and salmon and home to a host of aquatic birds including the rare black-fronted tern. Breakfast is provided, and there are plenty of fine dining options nearby at the region’s famous wineries. A peaceful place, and good value too.
