“A glorious country house hotel, touched with eccentricity and a little bit of magic. Luxurious decor, stunning views and wonderful food on the banks of Loch Awe.”

Hotel review

The Ardanaiseig Hotel, standing proudly on the shores of Loch Awe, is an imposing baronial mansion set in acres of splendid gardens. The austere first impression of the house gives way to a mischievous interior filled with classic antiques, Gothic fantasy pieces and whimsical touches. The finest bedrooms have views that sweep down the misty, island-dotted water; a converted boat shed in the grounds offers the ultimate lovers’ retreat. Service can misfire on occasions but is generally friendly. Head Chef Gary Goldie deserves attention for his technical skill and love of foraged ingredients.
