“Landmark brewery converted to boutique hotel. Modernistic five star bed and breakfast with fabulous spa and swimming pool. Well-equipped and sleek contemporary rooms, and atmospheric public spaces. ”

Hotel review

A city of bankers and businessmen, Zürich has more than its fair share of top notch hotels, many of them of superlative quality. B2 Boutique Hotel + Spa Zürich offers something out of the ordinary, not just because of its (easily walkable) location on high ground to the Western edge of the inner city but because of its post-industrial heritage as a converted Hurlimann Brewery, which, like its giant landmark chimney certainly adds character. And then there its famous spa, a great favourite with guests and non-guests alike. Any hotel that allows you to unwind in a rooftop hot pool and survey the city's fabulous Alpine setting in the open air has special claims to uniqueness. A lot of thought and investment has gone into this conversion, and much of the industrial heritage of has been retained to give the place its distinctive character. The central feature, the "wine library" of soaring proportions, is a magnificent showpiece, its "chandeliers" ingeniously constructed out of old bottle-drying racks, while the angular, hi-tech main meeting room is worthy of a James Bond film set. Superbly-equipped suites with free-standing bath tubs and other quirky features, the hotel has a bracingly modernistic take on comfort, which makes it a great favourite with visitors to Google's adjacent R&D centre, the biggest outside of the USA.
