Ubatumirim is a nearly-untouched stretch of the coast in São Paulo State, harbouring a native village, a quiet beach and acres of unspoiled natural landscape. The rich biodiversity in the area has given rise to a small number of eco-lodges and campsites. Banana Bamboo Ecolodge is one such lodge; set in the dramatic rural landscape, it boasts simple but comfortable guestrooms and excellent facilities. Rooms are designed with families and/or groups in mind; they are spacious and can easily fit several beds in addition to offering a private balcony. The accommodation is connected to the other hotel facilities via a series of raised wooden walkways. The hotel restaurant focuses on the use of fresh, local ingredients, with special attention to the banana and local fruit the cambuci. The emphasis on nutrition and wellness extends to the other aspects of hotel leisure, with a specially designed yoga facility, hot tub and sauna area. A perfect choice for travellers looking for a real retreat to nature.
