“A true desert island paradise Barefoot is Robinson Crusoe chic. Boasting a mile long private stretch of one of Asia's best beaches, a resident elephant, Raja, as well as the top rated dive school on the island. Oh and 19 luxurious, eco friendly cottages and Ayurvedic spa. An escape like no other. ”

Hotel review

When we say "Robinson Crusoe chic" we mean it: there is no wifi and barely a bar of signal to be found here. Some people find this the ultimate luxury, others the ultimate nightmare. The first and only eco-friendly resort on the Andaman Islands, sustainable tourism is at the very heart of what Barefoot is all about. 19 luxurious beach huts, made of locally sourced woods, are well hidden below the jungle’s verdant canopy. Even when sitting out on your private terrace you truly feel alone in the wilderness. Spacious rooms are filled with light thanks to floor to ceiling picture windows that allow in light and you to take in your lush surrounds. Chic en-suite bathrooms run off rainwater. The service is always with a smile and staff are happy to help you arrange activities during your stay - from dive excursions, to boat trips or just a meet and greet with Raja the resident elephant (who is partial to a paddle)! Fresh fish, free range chicken and eggs and Indian dishes are served. A stay where you can be good to yourself and to the environment.
