Built in 1806, Brandshatch Place is an elegant Georgian mansion, originally constructed by the Duke of Norfolk as a country retreat. It remained privately owned until the 1970s, and is now a member of the Handpicked Hotels stable. Set amid twelve acres in the heart of the "Garden of England" it is ideally located for either exploring the local surroundings, or for a stopover on the way to the channel tunnel. Brandshatch place has thirty eight rooms varying from "classic" to suites, all offering the luxury you would expect from a four star hotel, and extras in the suites including separate showers and inroom entertainment systems. There is 2 AA Rosette standard fine dining plus top notch spa with excellent facilities (including gym, tennis and squash court) and an ofsted registered creche for the little ones.
