Capella has it all. The holiday feel of being located on Sentosa Island whilst being but a quick drive from Singapore's CBD. The work of design firm Foster + Partners who have successfully combined colonial glamour with contemporary chic all set against the sparkling back drop of the South China Sea. Amidst the 30 acres of manicured grounds you will find peacocks roaming and signature sculptures. Room interiors are by Indonesian designer Jaya Ibrahim and this can be seen through their warm, earthy elegance with combined with natural materials such as dark Indonesian teak used with a modern edge, sleek rattan furniture and stylish art. Constellation rooms have spacious patios and hot tubs. Dining options are smart: the asian fusion at Cassia is something to be experienced especially their barbecued boneless duckling with mango and lemon sauce as is high-tea at The Knolls. One of Bob's signature drinks, Eastern twists on the classics such as Kumquat Sidecar and Kaffir Lime Mule, enjoyed al-fresco overlooking the beach is a treat. If you want to treat yourself further spend the afternoon at the award winning Auriga Spa whose treatment rooms are almost as inviting as the bedrooms: you will not want to leave! There are also tennis courts, a library, nature trails, a gym and running track to keep yourself busy and the bountiful activities of Sentosa Island are within easy reach.
