The inspiration of Casa Fantini came to the owner, Daniela Fantini after a dream which involved apple cake and the desire to open an intimate space for designers working in her designer tap company, Fantini which stands next door to the hotel. The hotel is located on the western side of Lake Orta, in Pella, overlooking the gorgeous lake and island of San Giulio. Boat services take you easily across the water from the public dock, or it's a short drive around the lake with panoramic views of both the lake and the Piedmont mountains. Casa Fantini caters to those who want a simple approach to exploring Lake Maggiore but with all the amenities of a hotel. Casa Fantini exudes style and designer-luxury, just like the brand started by brothers Giovanni and Ersillio Frantini in 1947. Making the most of the excellent views, the bedrooms have large windows with stylish and contemporary interiors heightened with interesting pieces of designer-furniture. The hotel does not feel like a regular hotel experience, bare stone walls, pristinely mowed lawn and a clean-cut feeling all add to the designer-charm without feeling overbearing. The bathrooms are a highlight, of course, with Fantini taps and design on display. Consider each of the 11 rooms your own personal museum of the evolution of taps. A small pool at the front of the hotel and an excellent outdoor area with exceptional views of the lake add extra charm.
