San Miguel de Allende is fast becoming a favourite with visitors to Mexico; with picturesque, cobbled streets and dramatic, neo-Gothic architecture, this UNESCO World Heritage town offers guests culture, art and fine dining in a paradise-like climate, year-round. Casa No Name occupies a landmark property in the city's historic centre; formerly the home of the city's bishop before becoming the residence and workshop of fashion photographer Deborah Turbeville, this heritage property oozes local history (the courtyard hosts an original, 18th-century mural by Antonio Martínez de Pocasangre). The hotel's restored guestrooms feature preserved details from original fireplaces to antique furniture. There are three suites to choose from, which offer a separate living space and a terrace; book the Deborah Turbeville Suite if you want to channel the artist's energy from her former bedroom, or book the Aura Suite for a rooftop view. Several contemporary additions have been made to the property to give it a luxury finish; upstairs the hotel's Sky Bar boasts a sleek spa tent, hot tub and furnished terrace with a bar that offers signature cocktails.
