Chalet Hotel am Kiental is located in Bavaria's beautiful lake district. In the centre of Herrsching, which is on the shores of Lake Ammersee, the hotel has been created from historic old buildings and many of the bedrooms have been cleverly crafted from what was once the barn. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with clean, unfussy decor which has been created using natural materials including lots of wood, parquet or tiled floors and and a clever mix of period features with modern touches. The award winning restaurant offers gourmet cuisine and an excellent wine list. It's perfect for a special occasion - you'll certainly not be reproducing these dishes at home. Breakfast comes potted! Everything is served in glass jars of an appropriate size from the fruit salad, jams and honey to the yoghurt, bircher muesli & butter. It's a charming and novel touch. The chalet hotel am Kiental makes an ideal bolthole for anyone wanting to escape Munich, or a great base for exploring the lakes. Plus it's only 30 mins from Munich airport.
