Embodying the imagery and style of a bygone era, the Chateau de Chantore is a magnificent B&B in Lower Normandy. Bursting with regal grandeur, there is opulence and extravagance at every turn. The setting is wonderful, a fantastic orange chateau nestled into rolling parkland. Each of the five rooms are individually decorated and appointed with incredible ornate wallpaper, charming box beds and majestic embroidered furniture. The walls are occupied by a whole host of fine paintings, including portraits of former residents of the house. The free bicycles on offer are a great chance to explore the surrounding parkland, inhabited by fallow deer. For day trips be sure not to miss out on Mont Saint Michel and the incredible Bayeux Tapestry. A rural Normandy gem.
