“Nestled amidst coconut plantations this seventeen bedroomed Dutch villa, designed by renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, feels like a home away from home. Moments away from the beach, with an inviting outdoor pool it is great for families and romantics. Evening al fresco meals are an utter treat. ”

Hotel Review

Brimming with acclaimed Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa’s signature style, Club Villa offers cosy, comfortable rooms in a beautiful spot on the island’s southwest coast. Tiptoe across the train tracks and through the mangroves to the golden beach beyond or simply hide away in the hotel gardens, where frangipani trees shield the pool and outdoor tables implore visitors to perch with a cup of tea and a good book. Bawa’s touches are everywhere: from the tiny courtyards to the turmeric yellow and bright blue accents, the painted double doors to the quirky inside-outside feel. Bedrooms boast large four-poster beds and antique furnishings, whilst the overall vibe is one of a chilled tropical home — perfect for the whole family.
