Boasting the sleekest spa in the south of Portugal, this 154 roomed hotel is modelled on an 18th century Portuguese palace with Moorish interiors by Miguel Câncio Martins.

Situated in the Algarve’s affluent golden triangle, in the heart of Quinta do Lago, the Conrad is a hotel much loved by tourists and locals alike. Offering an excellent Spa with Intraceutical oxygen-infused facials and relaxing massages with Aromatherapy Associate products, it also has a swim in/swim out swimming pool. Beyond the spa are two more pools, one for adults with state of the art underwater music and the other for children with islands and bridges to negotiate. Children are well catered for in the Little C Palace, with princess parties offering nail painting and picnic safaris to find animal statues hidden in the gardens.

Culinary offerings include the 1 Michelin-starred Gusto restaurant, where under the consultancy of Chef Heinz Beck, dishes such as his signature Fagotelli Carbonara are served alongside wine pairings. Louro Restaurant is open for all day dining and specialises in regional cuisine with a contemporary twist.

Bedrooms, spread over six floors, are spacious and clean-lined and clad in muted beiges and blues with balconies overlooking the swimming pool and countryside beyond. Bathrooms come inset with televisions and have both tubs and rain showers.
