A majestic French renaissance style country house in the most stunning location - set amid 65 acres of landscaped and formal gardens overlooking the River Thames, between Marlow and Henley. No two rooms and suites are the same - interiors veer from traditional country-house chic to Phillipe Starck designed rooms to contemporary duplex suites. But all offer the trappings you'd expect from a luxury establishment - large comfy beds, plasma TVs and fluffy bathrobes. All enjoy a view, whether it be into the courtyard or a more expansive one to the River Thames and Chilterns beyond. The restaurant takes simple ingredients and elevates them to something really special - Modern British cuisine at its best. Be aware, service inevitably can be a tad slow when large events are taking place. Visit the pampering and award winning Spa Illuminata Danesfield House which offers a host of facilities - 20m swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, fully equipped gym to name but a few, plus excellent treatments. We can highly recommend the relaxing and results driven facials. Danesfield House is a great pick for all sorts of reasons; come for a quick city escape, base yourself here if you're going to Henley Regatta or Ascot Racecourse or want to explore the wider area including Windsor and Oxford, or simply book in for a bit of luxury R'n'R and make the most of everything the spa and restaurant have to offer! Also very popular for weddings large and small and the same for corporate events.
