Hotel review

Part of the Langham stable but not branded as such because of its more workaday feel. The fourth-floor lobby is airy and appealing, its indoor-outdoor seating spilling out to a small terrace with a garden atmosphere. There’s an intimate, Roman-style rooftop pool, attractively enclosed by walls but open to the air above. The standard bedrooms are compact and functional but pretty well equipped. Some have floor-to-ceiling windows, to show off a Kowloon panorama. A good choice in Nathan Road’s so-called ‘Golden Mile’ on the borders of Yau Ma Tei and Jordan, with surprisingly kind prices, all too scarce in this city.
