“500 year old inn in the north of the Peak District National Park. Traditional meets contemporary with flair and comfort. Award-winning restaurant. ”

Hotel review

Formerly a 500 year old inn and the original building behind 'The Feathers' in Charlotte Bronte's 'Jane Eyre', the old landlord providing the name for the heroine of the novel, this hotel is steeped in history and tradition. Interiors include "purple sofas", "fancy wallpapers" and "ceiling spotlights" which complement the hard floors and beams. The award winning restaurant also serves up delightful local produce to a 2 AA Rosette level.
