“A luxury boutique hotel overlooking the River Ness, located within walking distance from Inverness city centre. Offering comfortable rooms, an award-winning restaurant and Whisky and Piano bar, it’s a great spot for city-breakers, families, and business travellers.”

Hotel review

Set on a river-bank terrace lined with lime trees, this property is one of Inverness’ most luxurious hotels, situated close to the city centre, and popular city spots like the Eden Court theatre, the cathedral, and the Ness Islands. The hotel is also within easy travelling distance of Loch Ness, Isle of Skye, and other popular spots in the Scottish Highlands.

There are 32 spacious and comfortable bedrooms in total, some boasting spectacular river views. Inside you’ll find design features including French windows, classic red and beige tweed bed throws and cushions, large wooden headboards, and contemporary style red leather chairs. Those travelling on business, in a family, or wanting more privacy can opt for one of three self-contained apartments. Both accommodation options offer free onsite car parking and Wi-fi, plus use of Nespresso coffee machines, sweet jars, TV and DVDs, free water and fresh milk, rainfall showers, and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.

The hotel’s award-winning Contrast Brasserie restaurant on the ground floor is sleek by design, and popular with hotel guests and locals. The Head Chef has devised a varied menu that offers high-quality food that is excellent value for money, available from breakfast through to dinner. In the Whisky and Piano Bar, guests can choose from over 260 malt whiskies and 50 gins, with live music on weekends. Service is friendly and efficient throughout the hotel.
