Setúbal also has a host of great fish restaurants and fun bars, and there are lots of sandy beaches to explore nearby. For those who wish to stray further afield, the natural park of Estuario do Sado is under an hour away, with rice fields, beaches, dunes and pinewoods, home to an abundance of wildlife including dolphins, white storks and flamingos.
