Campeche, a UNESCO-listed colonial town on the Gulf of Mexico, is the perfect setting for a luxury hacienda hotel. Steeped in history, Campeche plays host to epic Spanish Golden Age ruins, pretty beach promenades and mouth-watering seafood restaurants. Coopting a troupe of heritage properties in the heart of the town centre, this Marriott hotel offers an achingly beautiful ode to colonial-era Mexico. The buildings which make up the hotel have lived a number of incarnations, from champagne store to soap factory.
