Hotel review

Far enough from Dalyan’s overblown resort area (all souvenir shops, bars and generic restaurants) to be peaceful, close enough to be convenient, and with its own boat for trips down the delta to Dalyan’s wonderful beach. The bedrooms are unpretentious but spacious and comfortable; breakfast is buffet-style with a Turkish accent – yoghurt, honey, cheese, olives and pastries – and dinner is cooked on request (you can discuss your preferences in advance, but the fresh-caught fish is recommended). And the famous rock tombs can be seen just across the river. No pool, though, and a long way from the beach, so not great for a bucket and spade holiday.
